SACRED RITUAL TRADITION • കളമെഴുത്തും പാട്ടും

Kalampattu • കളമ്പാട്ട്

The primordial tantric art of consecrated herbal floor mandalas and acoustic hymns in devotion to Lord Nagaraja & Sree Vaasuki.

Primary Sanctum Offering: Performed with 5 Sacred Powders, Veena & Kudam, Milk & Turmeric

The Spiritual Grandeur & Tradition of Kalampattu

Kalampattu (കളമ്പാട്ട് / കളമെഴുത്തും പാട്ടും) is an exquisite traditional ritual of Kerala dedicated to snake gods (Nagas). Elaborate visual representations of Lord Nagaraja, Ananthan, and Vaasuki are drawn freehand on consecrated ground using strictly natural powders of five colors (Panchavarnam).

Accompanied by the meditative vibrations of the Pulluva Veena, rhythmic earthen Kudam, and brass Ilathalam, traditional Pulluva songs recount sacred lore, dispelling hereditary afflictions, negative planetary vibrations, and conferring good health, progeny, and prosperity upon the worshipper.
